It was a rare peek into French designer Christian Lacroix's haute couture fantasy world - usually held behind closed doors and rarely shown outside of Paris. At the Christian Lacroix Couture Spring/Summer 2009 Opening Gala last night to kick-start Audi Fashion Festival 2009 – Singapore’s premier fashion event, runway models were decked out in ravishing opulent fashion - think sumptuous fabrics such as satin, taffeta and chiffon, coupled with sequin embellishments and corsage blooms. The couturier's designs were flirty, feminine and exuberant.
British supermodel, Jacquetta Wheeler closed the glamorous affair with an off-shoulder golden gown. Seeing the collection just makes you want to play dress up!
