The one show that I was waiting for was Gareth Pugh A/W 2009. We would be the first in the world to see the avant garde collection on the runway - its previous debut at Paris Fashion Week was in a form of a stunning conceptual video (above - it was also screened at the start of the show here!). And what a spellbinding collection of heavily-structured dramatic offerings where the visionary designer transformed materials like leather, cashmere, mink and latex into striking gothic rock silhouettes.
With his trademark experimentation with form and volume in full display, British terrible enfant held us in a hypnotic rapture throughout the show. Genius.
